Jaime Velázquez y el costo de oportunidad para EUA
Boicots are useful as pressure engines: it's just a matter of coordinating efforts against Trump's bullying negotiating strategies.
Denigrating countries or putting them against the wall as negotiating strategies, or as simple distractors from the Easter Bunnies (Playmates, I mean) that used to be part of the President's hobbies, is not a respectful way of dealing with problems with others.
"Boeing can be substituted with Airbus, iPhones with Samsungs and Huaweis..."
This is a message for our American friends: If you really want to build a wall and protect your country for supposedly unfair trade practices an from the gangs that pour drugs to your innocent citizens, don't forget some basic facts:
Boeing can be substituted with Airbuses from France; Pork can be substituted with Mexican meat; Fords and GM's have superior substitutes with Korean an Japanese brands. McDonalds could get short with other superior hamburgers; wheat could be exchanged from Canada, iPhones substituted with Samsungs and Huawei, Adidas for Nikes, Spielbergs for Del Toro's, New York Parades for more cultural sites wherever in the world, and certainly much better culinary recipes all around the world, in substitution of hamburgers, hot dogs, and French fries.
América is far bigger than the US, don't think that making America great again means that the US will get stronger. America, the continent is far bigger. Geography classes need to improve in your classes to finally teach kids that they live in an INTERDEPENDENT world.
Remember that if your President continues threatening, lying persistently, and behaving so low, your country will pay the price.
"...the US is moving backwards in his leadership"
Russia looks more attractive than going to Disney in Orlando. Remember that you have the strongest economy in the world. Messing with 7 billion potential consumers will backlash you hard. When the Dow grows, Trump thinks it is because of his policies, and when it drops, its because he cares about the long run... MY ASS!
Without personal character, which Trump lacks, the US is moving backwards in his leadership. Twitter cannot become public policy easily. Poor White House aides, trying to make sense of Trump's lonely nights at the White House -I can't imagine his wife willing to cross words with him knowing that he cheated on her repeatedly -Stormy Daniels, golden showers, grabbing women from the pussy... Sleeping in the sofa is certainly not comfortable, so that gives him time to navigate his social networks... In God we trust that we will all find the balances needed to counter these childish policies. Nothing lasts forever.
